Mastering is the last creative step before your album is manufactured and released. It is a balance of equalisation, compression and limiting, carefully used to give the most definition to your mix. Whether you want the crisp sound of digital or the warmth of anologue, we can meet your needs. While paying the closest attention to detail. We can get the level up to industry standards without squeezing the life out of your material. Mastering is not just running your mixes through the latest compressor.

Studio time is billed at £50-00 per hour. The amount of time required varies greatly, so please call to discuss your needs.



Why Master?

A Mastering Engineer is listening to your project for the first time and can be objective about what the sound needs or doesn't need. An experienced engineer can hear deep into the mix and bring out the best performance.

Sending your dat to the pressing plant with just the raw mixes is not adequate. Levels are different, tones are different, beginnings and endings are not cleaned up. Most probably the tracks have all come from different sessions and studios. When this mistake is made the over all level of the CD is 6-8 db softer than a regular commercial CD

Schedule Mastering

Dont be too rushed up to the pressing deadline. Schedule your editing and mastering so that you have enough time to take home a reference CD and listen to it before it goes to the pressing plant. Sometimes you will hear things in the mix that you never heard before, and when you hear these things at home it gives you a more subjective view, take advantage of this flexibillity in the mastering process.
